I can’t believe how fast chickens grow. If I was growing meat birds, they would be ready to butcher, but with egg layers, it will still be at least another month before they start producing.
We are so happy that we picked multiple varieties of birds. They look beautiful when they are out scavenging We have 5 different kinds, 1/2 brown layers, 1/2 white layers (+the rooster who is a brown layer variety, should we decide to incubate some eggs)
