Being pregnant certainly makes gardening tough. Our garden wouldn’t look 1/2 this good this year without all of my husband’s hard work. Thanks Jon, I love you!!!
WOW…your garden looks amazing! I don’t have any excuse for mine to look as weedy as it does…except that I’m getting old and it’s just too hot and humid after working in the barn, that I just can’t bring myself to get out there and weed!
I can’t say I blame you! Working on a dairy farm definitely trumps garden work and you can only spend just so much time out in the hot humid weather!
Wow that is a really beautiful well kept garden, really doesn’t look like your in a drought area. My is really weedy still getting plenty of tomato’s and peppers, I live in North East Georgia so we still have the heat. It has dropped down to the high 90′s so we learn to deal with it and wait for the green beans and third planting of squash. Ellen from Georgia
Thanks! I can’t imagine what it would be like to live down south in the summer, let alone maintain a garden!
I feel a little better about my 40 (!!) tomatoe plants! : ) What are you doing with all your extra zucchinni/summer squash? Looking for ideas.
Haha yeah we’re a little tomato crazy
In the past I have made zucchini relish (I use yellow squash in that too). It’s really good we use it on burgers and hot dogs, but I made a ton and really don’t need any more so lately I just feed the extra squash to the chickens…
Your garden looks fabulous! I’m so jealous at the size!
It’s going to be wonderful though, all the food you can put up for when Baby starts on solids. You’ll be able to open a jar of food and *know* exactly what’s in there. That is priceless!
Thanks! I’m definitely looking forward to making baby food out of all the garden goodies!
