Trip to Jake’s- Falls Road

Up the road from Jake’s farm we visited a local water fall and did a bit of creek walking.  The water was so cool and refreshing.  We seem to have a thing for playing in the water falls!

The Fall

The falls were barely a trickle, but it had been a dry week in this area.  Based on the way that the rock was cut out, you could tell that the creek really roars when there is heavy rainfall and snow run off!

Part fall

The water was crystal clear.  I love creeks because they are always so clean.  Water in a pond always seems so stagnant.

Water Up Close

This was the first of three water fall adventure we had during our visit!  We had fun climbing around the falls, but Jon managed to find his way into some poison ivy that has been driving him crazy ever since.

What we do for fun

This is one of my favorite places in the world.  It takes some work to get there but when we do we know it will be nothing but fun.  The daring ones, including Jon jump the cliffs to the right, into the crystal clear pool underneath.  I can’t swim so I prefer to spectate.  This waterfall is so much larger than a camera lens can capture.  It’s a wonderful place you have to visit to appreciate.
